Amongst all the Italian heavyweight manufacturers, Iberital’s Spanish made made machines have quietly crept in under the radar. This Expression 3 group is a very chic piece of kit. Not only does it look good, it functions and makes coffee as good as it looks. Dual boiler configuration will take care of any workload whilst maintaining optimal temperature stability and the PID allows the barista to tweak to their heart’s content. It also has a forecasting function that learns busy and quiet periods and adjusts energy usage accordingly – that’s some smart tech right there. The LCD display allows full control over all the parameters of the machine and extraction and it’s also a high cup to boot!
